This year the annual Canadian Foodgrains Bank “Singin’ in the Grain” concerts will feature 2 outstanding ensembles, Canzona and Encore. Please plan on attending at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church on Saturday, October 26th at 7pm or at Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Winkler on Sunday, October 27th at 3 pm. Donations go to CFGB conservation agriculture work through Mennonite Central Committee Canada.

Please pray for our current chapel series. This year our theme as a school is “Be Brave!” We have just entered a six-week series of focusing on Being Brave in relation to emotional health and managing anxiety. Pray that as a school we continue to be a safe space for difficult conversations, where students feel cared for and listened to.
MCI Soup & Pie and Fall Concert: November 1st, 2019. Join us for MCI’s annual Soup & Pie Fundraiser. Supper will begin to be served at 5 pm. We will transition into Buhler Hall for the Fall Concert at 7:30 pm. This event is by donation.

Our new denominational hymnal is coming together and pre-orders are being taken. MCM is unique in that 2 members of the 12 person ‘hymnal committee’ from across MC USA and MC Canada live in Manitoba. Paul Dueck and Darryl Neustaedter Barg are available to come to your church to talk about why this is not just a remarkable new songbook, but a theological document with the capacity to shape and unify our churches over the next 10-20 years.

Praying for our churches! The Riverton Fellowship Circle in Riverton, Manitoba began services in 1985. The group originated through outreach by Conference of Mennonites in Canada Native Ministries. Riverton Fellowship has participated in the Partnership Circle that has been established with a number of congregations within MCM. The congregation’s identity embraces the Indigenous distinctives of its founding members, while also accepting persons of diverse backgrounds and cultures that seek fellowship and want to worship God, the Creator.
MCC: This October fill a Bucket of Thanks for a family displaced by conflict or disaster! A Bucket of Thanks is a container filled with essential hygiene items intended for a family of four. MCC distributes these buckets to people around the world. Every bucket makes a difference to someone in need! The federal election is an opportunity for us to shape the future of Canada.
