Focus Statement: May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14

Scripture passages: Isaiah 48:12-17 & Galatians 3:26-4:7

Children’s time: The children began by naming all the things they could think of that start with “tri” like triangle & tricycle. Then they moved on to the idea that God has three parts but it can be kind of hard to understand, but we can learn about it if we work at it. The object lesson included an apple that has three parts: skin/peel, flesh/juicy part, and seed. All these three parts have their own job and are also an apple. God can be represented by the skin, Jesus by the fleshy part, and the Holy Spirit by the seed.

MCM will be inviting us to pray for each of our sister churches over the coming months. This Sunday we pray for Glenlea Mennonite Church, a relaxed & informal small congregation of about 85 Mennonites who love Jesus, and do their best to be warm & hospitable. We love to sing, study, pray, and worship together. We also love to laugh and feast together, and earnestly seek to be Christ’s hands, feet, and light in this world. At present, energy and excitement is building within our church community as we grow our partnership with Jubilee Mennonite Church in sponsoring six Rohingya refugees. The past nine months have also included a significant visioning process for our congregation and we invite prayers as we continue to discern and act on our renewed vision. (I hope we did okay in the making of this church profile!)
