Book club will meet at the church on Wednesday at 7:30.  We will be looking at pages 175-225ish.  Please come even if you haven’t read the book.

Next week we will begin the period of Lent with the theme of “Restore us O God!”

The passages for next week are Genesis 12:1-4a and Romans 4: 1-5; 13-17

Next week we will be joined by a quartet from Fort Garry MB church.  Please come and listen.

After the service, Dale, Tammy, Luka, and Keegan are going to Mcdonalds in Steinbach and then off to the aquatic centre for the afternoon.  We’d love to make this a church activity, and everyone is invited to join.

MDS

The annual Manitoba MDS Awareness & Fundraising Events are approaching. Prospective students (and their parents) – explore CMU on Campus Visit Day Friday, March 10. This is an opportunity to explore the campus, learn about CMU programs, attend a class, and interact with professors. For information go to cmu.ca/campusvisit.

Xplore: Keep Thinking: CMU’s 55-plus enrichment program begins this week. It is still possible to register on line at cmu.ca/xplore or in person at the first class, Wednesday, March 8, 9:00 or 10:30 AM.

Want to encounter other cultures? Come hear fascinating stories and experience the diversity at the Canadian School of Peacebuilding. Courses run June 12-16 and June 19-23, 2017and are a great opportunity to experience an inspiring community of people gathered to learn about peace. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Sargent MCC Thrift Shop and Selkirk MCC Thrift Shop need more volunteers (especially Selkirk) from now through summer. These shops supported by this congregation, help raise funds for MCC programs around the world as well as assisting communities with quality products at low costs. The shops are open for volunteers from Monday to Saturday with volunteers being able to select a time commitment most suitable for them.
